Data Center Power Infrastructure & Critical Equipment

Critical Power Solutions for Modern Data Centers

Data centers depend on reliable power infrastructure at every stage of operation. From UPS systems and backup generators to automatic transfer switches, replacement components, preventative maintenance and emergency service, each part of the critical power path must be ready when it is needed.

Critical Infrastructure Group helps data center operators source, maintain, replace, rent and service critical power equipment nationwide.

Whether you are building a new facility, expanding existing capacity, preparing for higher-density AI and GPU workloads, replacing aging equipment or maintaining an established data center, CI Group can help support the infrastructure behind your operation.

Supporting Today's Data Centers—and Tomorrow's Power Demands

Data center power requirements continue to evolve. New computing environments can place greater demands on UPS capacity, backup generation, distribution infrastructure and redundancy than the systems they replace.

This is particularly important as facilities add high-density computing and AI/GPU infrastructure.

Before expanding critical IT capacity, operators need to understand whether the supporting power system has the capacity, redundancy and equipment condition necessary to support the additional load.

CI Group can help organizations address the infrastructure around that growth through:

Large-Scale Data Center Generators

UPS batteries provide short-term protection, but extended outages require reliable backup generation. CI Group supplies commercial and industrial generators across a wide range of capacities, including equipment for large data center and mission-critical applications.

Available Data Center Equipment

Explore high-capacity UPS systems and generators currently available or scheduled for incoming inventory. These systems are well suited for data center expansion, replacement projects and other mission-critical applications. Either in stock or available for pre-sale.

Plan for Redundancy, Not Just Capacity

A data center power system needs enough capacity to support the connected load, but capacity alone does not create resiliency.

Critical facilities also need to consider what happens when a UPS, battery string, transfer switch, generator or other component is unavailable.

Questions to consider include:

  • Is there sufficient UPS capacity for the current and planned load?
  • Are critical power paths redundant where required?
  • Can equipment be serviced without exposing the load?
  • Are UPS batteries capable of providing the expected runtime?
  • Is backup generation sized appropriately for the critical facility load?
  • Are transfer switches inspected and maintained?
  • Are aging UPS components approaching recommended replacement intervals?
  • Is temporary power available during replacement or major maintenance?

Temporary Power During Upgrades, Replacements & Emergencies

A UPS replacement or infrastructure upgrade does not eliminate the need to protect the critical load while the work is underway.

CI Group offers UPS rental equipment that can support temporary requirements during:

  • UPS replacement
  • Planned maintenance
  • Capacity upgrades
  • Facility renovations
  • Equipment failures
  • Emergency response
  • Short-term or transitional power requirements
